A Day by the Water: Shaun and Brownrigg Lodge's Family Fishing Event

Fishing is about much more than catching fish—it is about patience, learning something new, and sharing special moments with the people we care about.

Recently, Dormer Lodge member Shaun joined Brownrigg Lodge at Warwick Wold for a fantastic family fishing day. The event brought together both kids and adults for a fun, relaxing time by the water.

For many of the attendees, it was their very first time holding a fishing rod. Shaun and the members of Brownrigg Lodge stepped in as guides, patiently teaching everyone the basics—from setting up tackle to casting a line and waiting for a bite.

Filled with plenty of encouragement, excitement when a float dipped, and lots of smiles along the bank, the day was a wonderful success, introducing a new generation to the joys of fishing in a beautiful setting.
